Rewayat-e pareenah kuch yun kho gaya
Shab ki tareeki mein jaise din kho gaya

Hui aaj muhabbat bebaak is qadar
Izhar-e muhabbat ka saleeqa kho gaya

 Mukhtasar si zindagi is tarah basar hui
Taweel safar pe jaise  musafir so gaya

 Jashn ka silsilah thamta nahi hai yaan
Ghareeb-e shahr jabki bhukha mar gaya

 Tum hue kyon muztarib ai Imteyaz
Dost tha jo aaj agar bewafa ho gaya
